Selling global SaaS from Turkey: Paddle, Lemon Squeezy and local PSPs
When Stripe is not directly available in Turkey, Merchant of Record platforms and local payment providers solve different problems.
Payment providers should be separated by responsibility.
Paddle and Lemon Squeezy operate as Merchant of Record platforms for digital products. Lemon Squeezy documentation currently lists Turkey among supported bank-payout countries. Stripe's global availability page does not list Turkey as a directly supported country as of 10 August 2026.
A local PSP such as iyzico can still be useful for domestic TRY checkout. The product's entitlement layer should remain independent of the payment provider so domestic and global billing can coexist.
Merchant of Record does not remove every Turkish accounting or tax obligation. Local treatment should be verified with a qualified accountant.
